K & K Butterfly offers a variety of format lectures for any of your group or organizations needs. Our fun interactive lectures are great for explaining the life cycle of complete metamorphosis as well as the parts of the butterfly body and its natural habitat. We can also arrange a 6-8 week summer programs for summer and day camps to raise and release their own butterflies! Our lectures are great for everyone from pre-school aged children to the elderly in nursing homes.

We also offer lectures on designing your own butterfly garden. This lecture will help give direction on the ideal places for your butterfly garden as well the best plants to use to attract butterflies and keep them there. We will discuss plant requirements and which plants attract which kind of butterfly. We can also have sessions of designing your own butterfly garden with our expert's help.

All of our lectures are presented by Karen Richards. She has been working in the field of horticulture for 15 years. She is also a Certified Teacher in Ornamental Horticulture: Greenhouse Operations and Management and worked with our at risk youth teaching horticulture for 9 years. It was during this time she found her calling in butterflies.
